Roles and Responsibilities• Conduct market research to validate user need and product/market fit
• Demonstrate expertise in product functionality, vision and business goals
• Manage product development and enhancements as per the agile process established
• Develop and implement product strategies consistent with the company vision.
• Demonstrate and develop understanding of market and competition
• Identify areas of growth and drive product adoption
• Work with QA/Test Lab to ensure product functionality
• Gain deep understanding of customer experience and implement initiatives to refine this
• Work with support and Agency teams to develop training material, support processes and marketing content
• Validate and refine pricing strategy
• Act as a product evangelist to build awareness
• Engage with stakeholders and suppliers to maximise beneficial terms.
• Have oversight of all work delivered
• Translate product strategy into detailed requirement
• Any other requirements as expected by the company leadership

Educational Qualifications• Minimum Bachelors Degree in relevant subject area.
• Desire to be constantly educated.
• Fluency in English.
• Fluency in Swahili and Portuguese is an advantage

Experience Requirements• Excellent internal and external communication
• Planning and project management skills
• T-shaped thinker with a passion for problem solving
• Strong working knowledge of Excel and Business intelligence tools to extract trends
• A deep knowledge of the payment and retail landscape in East
• Excellence in documenting, visualizing and presenting strategies.
• Strong relationship management
• An operational mindset with business understanding
• Knowledge of software, technology development processes and passion for technology
• Knowledge or experience in scaling SaaS products
• Demonstrating thought leadership
• Comfortable being held to performance and revenue targets
• Proven work experience in similar role
• Proven track record of scaling products
• Knowledge of small retail landscape
