Purpose of this role is to formulate and execute a strategy to deliver the requisite number of customers across all channels to achieve business KPIs
The role calls for a highly entrepreneurial and commercial individual with a wide-ranging experience of both on-line and off-line acquisition sales and marketing activities
Position: Sales and Marketing Manager
Reporting to: Chief Commercial Officer
Establishing new, and maintaining existing, long-term relationships with customers.Meet assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned territory/accounts.Prepare quotations, proposals and presentations based on the customer’s product and service requirements.Maintain records utilizing, Microsoft Excel.Support marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events.Monitor customer, market, and competitor activities and provide feedback to management.Formulate and execute a strategy for social media and content marketing to maximize new customer acquisition through these channels as well as build brand engagement and advocacy.Making presentations and demonstrating how a product will meet client needs.Liaising with other members of the sales team and other technical experts (sales engineers) on the team.Effectively adhere to and lead efforts to provide accurate forecasting.Use and assist in developing marketing programs to effectively increase sales and market penetration in order to meet sales and profit goals.Contribute in the implementation of marketing strategies.Support the marketing manager in overseeing the department’s operations.Organize and attend marketing activities or events to raise brand awareness.Plan advertising and promotional campaigns for products or services on a variety of media (social, print etc.)Liaise with stakeholders and vendors to promote success of activities and enhance the company’s presence.See all ventures through to completion and evaluate their success using various metricsPrepare content for the publication of marketing material and oversee distributionConduct market research to identify opportunities for promotion and growthCollaborate with managers in preparing budgets and monitoring expenses
Ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a proven track record of customer acquisition and retention. Must be comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base and evolving solutions. Must possess strong presentation skills and be able to communicate professionally. Organized and analytical, able to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches.
Diploma or Bachelor degree in Business Studies or equivalent.Experience in developing marketing and sales strategiesOutstanding interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication skillsSolid understanding of and contacts in the ICT industry, with an emphasis on mobile payment solutions.Professional, with extremely strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills including the ability to effectively present concepts and ideas to groups of people.Problem-solving and analytical skills to interpret sales performance and market trend informationProven ability to motivate and lead the sales teamStrong negotiation skillsFluent in English and FrenchExcellent interpersonal skillsManagement of multinational/multicultural team will be an assetResourceful with impeccable communication skills. Experience with Microsoft Power Point, Word, Outlook, and Excel and lead management applications (SalesForce.com) is requiredHighly conversant in using Excel (Formulas, analytics,pivot, lookup etc).Basic understanding in Mobile Money will be an added advantage5-7+ years customer sales/marketing experience in the ICT segment and demonstrated initiative and consistent quota attainment are required excellent organization and time management skillsSolution Selling® or other similar formal sales training is highly desirable
