Tanzania Forest Conservation Group (TFCG) is a national NGO whose mission is to preserve and restore the biodiversity of the world's most important forests in Tanzania for the benefit of present and future generations. TFCG, in collaboration with the Tanzanian Community Forest Network (MJUMITA), is implementing Phase 2 of the project "Transformation of the Coal Industry in Tanzania". The project is funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation. As part of this project, TFCG seeks applications from Tanzanian women and men qualified for the following position:
The Capacity Building Officer is responsible for increasing the government's capacity for technical assistance and governance oversight for sustainable, enterprise-focused and community-based forestry (including sustainable forestry) wood). It is also responsible for promoting the expansion and integration of guidelines into governmental plans.
Qualifications and experience
▪ Master or higher degree in Natural Resource Management.
• At least 5 years experience in the field of natural resources with specific experience in capacity building.
